Cultivating Self Compassion

REDISCOVER YOUR INNER CHILD – FIND YOUR SELF-WORTH!

Learn to challenge unhelpful thoughts and talk to yourself with a compassionate voice. If you find yourself constantly thinking negative or mean thoughts about yourself, it’s time to stop, give yourself a break and cultivate self-compassion. This course will teach you skills to build your self-confidence, set healthy boundaries within relationships and re-parent yourself with self-care. This is a small-group practical course, led by a qualified therapist, in a safe, supportive and inclusive environment.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR ATTENDEES

This informative series, delivered weekly by a qualified professional who will cover the key aspects of anxiety.

Week 1 – Understanding the key elements of self-compassion

Week 2 – The difference between self-esteem and self-compassion

Week 3 – Techniques to regulate your emotions

Week 4 – Challenging unhelpful thoughts and developing a compassionate voice

Week 5 – Setting healthy boundaries

Week 6 – Reparenting yourself with self-care routines and rituals

Run via six, two-hour sessions, with a qualified therapist, this course can be run in-person or online. Attendees will gain valuable skills in reducing stress & worry, assisting in rising above your fear and creating a rich and meaningful life.

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR – TRUDY

Trudy facilitates the mental health workshops at WHWS and Elevate, specializing in emotion regulation skills such as managing anxiety and developing self-compassion. She is currently completing 4th year psychology honours and working towards registration as a psychologist. In her downtime, Trudy enjoys sailing, kayaking and brunch with friends.

COST: Series of 6 – $90 Concession/$120 non concession per person
