Gosnells Office Location:
Our office is located inside the Gosnells Community Lotteries House at 2232c Albany Highway Gosnells. We are in the two-story brick building near the post office. Entry to WHWS is via Astley Street. Please use the automatic doors opposite the Post Office (if you are at the clock tower you are one the wrong side of the building).
We are in Suite 7 located on level 1. You will need to use the internal stairs or lift (the lift is located behind the stairs). Once on level 1, turn left and we are at the end of the corridor, near the toilets.
Parking is located near the post office off Astley Street. Parking can be problematic – additional parking on Federation Pde or on the vacant block of land off Federation Pde between the library and the doctors surgery (if you reach Coles you have gone too far).
We are a 5 minute walk from the Gosnells Train Station and close to multiple bus stops.

Video sessions – How to use Telehealth

  • If this is your first time using telehealth and you would like a trial call before your first session. Please call the office on 9490 2258 to arrange a trial call.
  • Get your device ready. Any device with internet connection and that supports a microphone and camera can be used.
  • Use the link that you have received via email and sms
  • At the time of your appointment, click on their telehealth link. It will open in their browser. No additional logins are needed.
  • When you are ready to start the session, click on the “Start Telehealth Session” button.
  • Wait on this screen until your therapist lets you into the ‘online room’

To ensure you receive the most out of your session, be prepared to receive the call from your therapist and conduct your session in a quiet and private room. Your 1-hour counselling session is your time to focus on your health. Taking the call from your therapist in a busy and/or public space will impact your ability to concentrate in session.

Children in session:
To ensure the best possible therapeutic outcome:

  • We encourage alternative childcare during sessions.
  • Children present in sessions may pick up on emotional content or hear topics inappropriate for them.
  • If childcare is unavailable, please discuss this with your therapist in advance.
  • WHWS staff cannot supervise children, and children should not be left unattended in the waiting area.

Appt Reminders:

WHWS sends out 2 reminders to clients before their scheduled appointment, one in the form of an e-mail and one in the form of an SMS. It is very important to us that you attend to the SMS as soon as you receive it; it allows us to offer the cancelled appointment to someone on a cancellation or waiting list.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that life can be busy and plans sometimes change. If you need to cancel your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible so we can offer the time to another client who may be waiting for support.

As WHWS is a high-demand service, we have a two-session cancellation allowance per care cycle (10 allocated sessions per calendar year).

How it works:

  • More than 48 hours’ notice
This is considered sufficient notice. You may cancel up to two appointments per care cycle without impacting your allocated sessions.
  • Less than 48 hours’ notice (but more than 2 hours)
This will be recorded as a non-attendance and the session will be forfeited from your care cycle.
  • Within 2 hours of your appointment or not attending
A gap fee (equal to your usual out-of-pocket cost) will be charged using the payment details on file. You will receive an SMS notification. The session will not be reallocated.

If you would like to retain your allocated session when cancelling with less than 48 hours’ notice, you may choose to pay the full session fee and we will reschedule the appointment within your care cycle.

Please note that more than two non-attendances for your allocated appointment time may result in discharge from the service.

We truly appreciate your understanding. These policies allow us to provide fair and timely access to care for all clients. If you have any questions, please reach out to our team — we’re happy to help.

*Where WHWS is notified by a client to alter an appointment with more than 4 weeks notice. This is not considered a cancellation.

We value feedback from clients at any point through your counselling, feedback can be provided by emailing us at info@whws.org.au or forms available or at our office.
