Board Game Challenge! – 30/4/2020

Wow, I thought keeping kids entertained during regular school holidays was hard!

The restrictions we are experiencing these school holidays as a result of Covid-19 are adding a whole new dimension to fighting school holiday boredom…

For our family, adding some routine into our day has helped to get us through the week. These pockets of activity have given the kids something to look forward to, breaking up the long days at home.

One of our daily activities is the ‘Board Game Challenge’ (anyone who has kids that watch The Norris Nuts on YouTube will understand kids’ current obsession with challenges). We have committed to playing a different board game each day of the school holidays. I don’t know about you, but our games cupboard has not had a clean out in years. So, at the end of each game we rate the game and decide whether we will put it back in the cupboard to play again another day or add it to the donate box so that we can pass it on for others to enjoy.

We would love to see any board game success stories you have, feel free to share them with us on our Facebook page or by emailing them to info@whws.org.au and we will share with everyone 🙂 Enjoy!

Covid-19 Information

In the event of a lockdown or mandatory mask regulations due to the changing Covid 19 situation, WHWS will conduct all session via telephone or telehealth sessions.

We understand that face to face sessions are ideal, but for your safety and the safety of our therapists, we appreciate you staying home during this time. Communication can actually be better over telehealth phone call or video, as it means no prolonged mask wearing during your session.

When restrictions ease, we can resume in person sessions. Thank you so much for your understanding and flexibility during restrictions. If we can answer any questions or support you further during this difficult time, please don’t hesitate to get in touch at info@whws.org.au or by calling 9490 2258.
